A 6-year old puppy in New York has just broken the world record for most tennis balls held in the mouth by a dog.
Finley, a Golden Retriever, broke the record by carrying six tennis balls in his mouth. His owner, Erin Molloy said that Finley has been picking up tennis balls since he was 2 years old. Since then, he has worked his way up to carrying an impressive six tennis balls at once!
Determined to make sure Finley got his recognition, Molly spent weeks tracking down evidence that he did in fact break the record. She went so far as to measure the size of each tennis ball and collect witness testimony from her friends and neighbors in her town.
After a year of investigative work, Finley was rightfully awarded the world record holder. People on social media are excited to have a break from coronavirus-dominated feeds.
“It’s lifting people’s spirits more than we had ever expected or hoped for, which is really fulfilling. And it’s really rewarding knowing that something as simple as a good boy is making people smile all over the world.”
