Charity Seeks Volunteers To Walk On Legos, Raise Money For Children With Disabilities

Remember the pain from walking barefoot on a Lego brick? Well, a British charity is looking for volunteers who are willing to do just that to raise money for children with disabilities.

Caudwell Children provides practical and emotional support to children with disabilities and their families. The charity is seeking volunteers to do the challenge of walking on Legos in their own homes on May 31. They have teamed up with UK Firewalks to create pre-recorded how-to videos to show volunteers how to safely complete the walk across a pile of the hard blocks.

“Nearly everybody has had that experience of standing on a little plastic block of Lego and it can really hurt,” Kate McMahon of Caudwell Children said.

“So we’ve enlisted the support of UK Firewalks, experts in creating mind over matter experiences where people can use their willpower to overcome physical obstacles, to create a rebrickulous, fun event for all the family.”

The event will be live streamed on the charity’s website and a private Facebook group has been created for participants to post messages of support for one another.
