Teen Spends $25K In Bar Mitzvah Money On Hundreds Of Shoes For Others

For most teens, receiving thousands of dollars at your bar mitzvah would mean an extravagant shopping spree--but, 13-year-old Drew Frank had a different plan.

The Texas teen asked that in lieu of gifts at his bar mitzvah, his guests contribute cash donations.

When everything was said and done, Drew tallied up his gifts to a grand total of $25,000--but he didn't keep a dime.

Drew collaborated with the Braden Aboud Foundation and purchased 800 pairs of Nikes and 800 pairs of socks.

More than 400 pairs were generously donated to a public elementary school in a lower-income neighborhood--the rest will go to a local orphanage and a YWCA transitional living center for women and children.

While Drew very well could've kept every last penny for himself, he's happy that he was able to help those in need.

How thoughtful was Drew's brilliant idea?
